No denying this game was entertaining,. Over 900 yards of combined offense. Once the Lions fell behind, games’ ending was evident. Ram’s running game was brutal. Lion’s, not so much.
Ram’s offensive attack was balanced with no offset by Lions. M. Stafford exploited the Lion’s pass coverage almost at will. However, J. Goff demonstrated that Ram’s defensive play was not exactly ‘top notch’. Absence of S. LaPorta as J. Goff’s ‘safety valve’ receiver was significant.
Combination of Lion’s offensive line not opening running lanes and Ram’s ‘stringing out’ Lion’s ‘sweep’ attempts throttled their running game.
If providence allows Lions into the playoffs via ‘wild card’ status, expect a short visit.
